أخبرني إبراهيم بن إسماعيل القاضي، حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد الدارِمي، حدثنا مُسلم بن إبراهيم، حدثنا صدقة بن موسى، حدثنا سعيد الجُرَيري، عن عبد الله ابن بُريدة، عن عبد الله بن مُغفَّل قال: إذا أنا مِتُّ فاجعَلُوا في آخر غُسْلي كافُورًا، وكَفِّنوني في بُردَينِ وقميصٍ، فإنَّ النبي ﷺ فَعِلَ به ذلك (2). ذكرُ كعب ويُجَير ابنَيْ زهير ﵄

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said (in his dying instructions): "When I die, put camphor in my last washing, and shroud me in two Yemeni cloaks (burdayn) and a shirt, for this was done with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Mention of Sayyiduna Ka'b and Sayyiduna Bujayr, the two sons of Zuhayr (may Allah be pleased with them both).

(2) إسناده ضعيف لضعف صدقة بن موسى.
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of Sadaqah bin Musa.
وأخرجه أبو سليمان الرَّبَعي في "وصايا العلماء عند حضور الموت" ص 78 عن أبي جعفر الوراق، عن مسلم بن إبراهيم الأزدي الفراهيدي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abu Sulayman al-Raba'i narrated this in "Wasaya al-'Ulama' 'inda Hudur al-Mawt" p. 78 through Abu Ja'far al-Warraq from Muslim bin Ibrahim al-Azdi al-Farahidi, with this chain.
وذكره الهيثمي في "مجمع الزوائد" 3/ 24 ونسبه إلى الطبراني في "الكبير"، وقال: فيه صدقة ابن موسى، وفيه كلام.
Reference / Source: Al-Haythami mentioned it in "Majma' al-Zawa'id" 3/ 24 and attributed it to al-Tabarani's "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir", and said that its chain contains Sadaqah bin Musa, about whom there is criticism (jarh).
وهذا الحديث منكر لمخالفته حديث عائشة عند البخاري (1271) ومسلم (941) قالت: كُفِّن النبي ﷺ في ثلاثة أثوابٍ بيضٍ ليس فيها قميص ولا عِمامة.
Grading: This hadith is "munkar".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The reason it is munkar is that it contradicts the narration of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported in Sahih al-Bukhari (1271) and Sahih Muslim (941), in which she said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in three white garments that included neither a shirt nor a turban.
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of Sadaqah bin Musa.
