حدثنا أبو النَّضْر الفقيه، حدثنا عثمانُ بن سعيد الدارمي وعليُّ بن عبد العزيز، قالا: حدثنا عبد الله بن رَجَاءٍ، أخبرنا عمرانُ القَطَّان، عن عبيد الله بن مَعقِل بن يَسَار المُزَني، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "اعْمَلُوا بكتابِ الله ولا تُكذِّبوا بشيءٍ منه، فما اشتَبَهَ عليكم منه، فاسأَلوا عنه أهلَ العِلْم يُخبروكم، وآمِنوا بالتوراة والإنجيل، وآمنوا بالفُرْقان فإنَّ فيه البيانَ، وهو الشافعُ وهو المُشفَّعُ، والماحِلُ والمصدَّقُ" (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Act upon the Book of Allah and do not deny anything in it. Whatever of it seems unclear to you, ask the people of knowledge about it and they will inform you. Believe in the Torah and the Injil, and believe in the Furqan (the Qur'an), for in it is the explanation of everything. It is an intercessor whose intercession will be accepted, and an advocate whose word will be believed (before Allah)."

Hadith 6615

حدثنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق الإمامُ وعلي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل قالا: أخبرنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا حجَّاج بن مِنْهال، حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، حدثنا أبو عِمران الجَوْني، عن علقمة بن عبد الله المُزَنِي، عن معقل بن يسار: أَنَّ عمر بن الخطَّاب شاوَرَ الهُرمُزانَ في أصبهانَ وفارسَ وأَذرِبَيجانَ، فقال: يا أمير المؤمنين، أصبهانُ الرأسَ (3). ذكرُ عبد الله بن مُغَفَّل المُزَنِي ﵁ -

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) consulted al-Hurmuzan about the campaigns of Isfahan, Fars and Azerbaijan. He said: O Commander of the Believers! Isfahan is like the head (in the body of Persia).
Mention of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him).
