Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6615

حدثنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق الإمامُ وعلي بن حَمْشَاذَ العَدْل قالا: أخبرنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا حجَّاج بن مِنْهال، حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، حدثنا أبو عِمران الجَوْني، عن علقمة بن عبد الله المُزَنِي، عن معقل بن يسار: أَنَّ عمر بن الخطَّاب شاوَرَ الهُرمُزانَ في أصبهانَ وفارسَ وأَذرِبَيجانَ، فقال: يا أمير المؤمنين، أصبهانُ الرأسَ (3). ذكرُ عبد الله بن مُغَفَّل المُزَنِي ﵁ -
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) consulted al-Hurmuzan about the campaigns of Isfahan, Fars and Azerbaijan. He said: O Commander of the Believers! Isfahan is like the head (in the body of Persia).
Mention of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him).
