Talhah's (may Allah be pleased with him) pledge of allegiance at the hands of Ali's (may Allah be pleased with him) companions

It is narrated from Thawr bin Majza'ah that he said: I passed by Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of the Battle of the Camel while he lay fallen on the ground, drawing his last breaths. I stood beside him, and he raised his head and asked: "I see the face of a man that shines like the moon. Whose companion are you?" I said: "I am one of the companions of the Commander of the Believers, Ali." He said: "Stretch out your hand so that I may pledge allegiance (to Ali, may Allah be pleased with him) upon your hand." I stretched out my hand and he pledged allegiance, and at that very moment his soul departed. Then I went to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and informed him of what Sayyiduna Talhah had said. Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth: Allah Almighty refused that Talhah should enter Paradise except with my pledge of allegiance upon his neck."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from his father that on the day of the Battle of Uhud the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two coats of mail. He (peace and blessings be upon him) tried to climb onto a rock but could not (because of the weight), so Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) crouched beneath him (as a step) until he (peace and blessings be upon him) stood upright on the rock. Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Awjaba (Talhah has made Paradise obligatory for himself)."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from his father that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Awjaba (Talhah has made Paradise obligatory for himself)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
