حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ حدثنا السَّرِيّ بن خُزيمة، حدثنا أبو الوليد الطَّيالسي وموسى بن إسماعيل قالا: حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، عن سعيدٍ الجُريري، عن أبي نَعَامة: أنَّ عبدَ الله بن مُغَفّل سمع ابنَه يقول: اللهمَّ إني أسألُك القصرَ الأبيضَ عن يَمينِ الجنة، قال: إني سمعتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ يقول: "يكونُ في هذه الأمّةِ قومٌ يَعتَدُون في الدُّعاء والطُّهور" (1). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard his son supplicating: "O Allah, I ask You for the white palace on the right side of Paradise." He said: "(My son,) I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'There will soon be people in this Ummah who will transgress the limits in supplication and in purification (ablution and the like).'"
This hadith is sahih al-isnad (authentic in its chain), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
حدثنا أبو زكريا يحيى بن محمد العَنبَري، حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن إبراهيم العَبْدي، حدثنا يوسف بن عَدِي، حدثنا عَثّام بن علي، عن هشام بن عُروة، عن أبيه، عن عائشة قالت: كان رسولُ الله ﷺ إذا تَضوَّر عن الليل قال: "لا إله إلَّا اللهُ الواحدُ القهار، ربُّ السماواتِ والأرضِ وما بينَهما العزيزُ الغَفّار" (2). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turned over in bed at night (or felt restless), he would say: 'La ilaha illallahul-Wahidul-Qahhar, Rabbus-samawati wal-ardi wa ma baynahumal-'Azizul-Ghaffar' (There is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer of all, Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the Oft-Forgiving).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.
