حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ حدثنا السَّرِيّ بن خُزيمة، حدثنا أبو الوليد الطَّيالسي وموسى بن إسماعيل قالا: حدثنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، عن سعيدٍ الجُريري، عن أبي نَعَامة: أنَّ عبدَ الله بن مُغَفّل سمع ابنَه يقول: اللهمَّ إني أسألُك القصرَ الأبيضَ عن يَمينِ الجنة، قال: إني سمعتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ يقول: "يكونُ في هذه الأمّةِ قومٌ يَعتَدُون في الدُّعاء والطُّهور" (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard his son supplicating: "O Allah, I ask You for the white palace on the right side of Paradise." He said: "(My son,) I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'There will soon be people in this Ummah who will transgress the limits in supplication and in purification (ablution and the like).'"
This hadith is sahih al-isnad (authentic in its chain), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
