أخبرني أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود. وأخبرنا أحمد بن جعفر القَطِيعي، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثنا أبي، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا شعبة، عن قَتادة، عن مُطرِّف، عن أبيه: أنَّ النبيَّ ﷺ قال: "مَن صامَ الدَّهرَ ما صامَ وما أفطَرَ"، أو "لا صامَ ولا أفطَرَ" (1).

Sayyiduna Mutarrif narrates from his father (Abdullah bin al-Shikhkhir) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts perpetually (that is, keeps fasting all year without a break) has neither fasted nor broken his fast," or (he said): "Neither has his fast counted nor his breaking of it."

أخبرنا أحمد بن جعفر القَطِيعي، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثني أبي، حدثنا إسماعيل - وهو ابن عُلَيَّة - عن سعيد بن إياس الجُرَيْري، عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن الشِّخِّير، عن مُطَرِّف، عن عِمْران بن حُصَين قال: قيلَ لرسول الله ﷺ: إنَّ فلانًا لا يُفطِرُ نهارَ الدَّهر، قال: "لا صامَ ولا أفطَرَ" (1).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that it was said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): So-and-so fasts every day perpetually (never missing a day). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He has neither fasted nor broken his fast."
