The hour of response on Friday

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I went to Mount Tur and met Ka'b al-Ahbar there. I narrated to him the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he narrated to me things from the Torah, and there was no disagreement between them until I mentioned Friday. I said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On every Friday there is an hour such that no believing servant finds it while in the state of prayer and asks Allah for something, except that Allah will certainly grant it to him." Ka'b said: That occurs only once in the whole year. I said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say that. Then he recited (the Torah) and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth; it is on every Friday. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then I met Abdullah bin Salam and told him about my sitting with Ka'b. Then the narrator mentioned the whole narration like the hadith of Imam Malik.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Friday has twelve hours. Among them is an hour in which there is no Muslim servant who asks Allah for something except that Allah grants it to him. So seek it in the last hour of the day, after Asr."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, for he used al-Julah Abu Kathir as evidence; however, the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Abu Salamah said: I said (to myself): By Allah! If I were to go to Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and ask him about this hour, perhaps he would have some knowledge of it. So I came to him and said: O Abu Sa'id! Abu Hurayrah has told us about that hour on Friday; do you have any knowledge of it? He said: We asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was informed of that hour, then I was made to forget it, just as I was made to forget the Night of Qadr." Then I left him and went to Abdullah bin Salam. Then the narrator mentioned the whole hadith.
This is an authentic supporting narration (shahid) for the hadith of Yazid bin al-Had and Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it.
