إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فِي رَحْلِهِ ثُمَّ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَلْيُصَلِّهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَهُ نَافِلَةٌ

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بحر بن نَصْر بن سابق الخولاني قال: قُرئَ على عبد الله بن وهب: أخبركَ مالكُ بن أنس. وأخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن حمدان الهَمَذاني بها، حدثنا إسحاق بن أحمد الخزَّاز، حدثنا إسحاق بن سليمان قال: سمعت مالك بن أنس يحدِّث عن زيد بن أسلم، عن بُسْر بن مِحجَن - رجل من بني الدِّيل - عن أبيه: أنه كان جالسًا مع رسول الله ﷺ فأُوذِنَ بالصلاة، فقام رسول الله ﷺ فصلَّى ثم رَجَعَ ومِحجَنٌ في مجلسه كما هو، فقال له رسول الله ﷺ: "ما مَنَعَك أن تصلِّيَ مع الناس، ألست برجلٍ مسلمٍ؟ " قال: بلى يا رسول الله، ولكني يا رسول الله كنت قد صلَّيتُ في أهلي، قال: "فإذا جئتَ فصلِّ مع الناس، وإن كنت قد صلَّيتَ" (1)
Sayyiduna Mihjan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when the call to prayer was given. the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, led the prayer and came back, while Mihjan remained sitting in his place. the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "What prevented you from praying with the people? Are you not a Muslim?" He said: "Of course, O Messenger of Allah! But I had already prayed with my family." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you come (to the mosque), pray with the people, even if you have already prayed."
حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا الرَّبيع بن سليمان، أخبرنا الشافعي، أخبرنا عبد العزيز بن محمد، عن زيد بن أسلم، فذكره بنحوه.
هذا حديث صحيح، ومالكُ بن أنس الحَكَمُ في حديث المدنيِّين، وقد احتَجَّ به في "الموطأ" (1)، وهو من النوع الذي قدَّمتُ ذِكرَه أنَّ الصحابي إذا لم يكن له راويان لم يخرجاه (2). وله شاهد مثلُ هذا النوع بإسناد صحيح:

A similar report is narrated from Sayyiduna Mihjan (may Allah be pleased with him).

حدَّثَناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أَسِيد بن عاصم، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص عن سفيان. وأخبرنا أحمد بن سَلْمان الفقيه ببغداد، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى القاضي، حدثنا أبو حُذَيفة، حدثنا سفيان. وحدثنا علي بن حَمْشاذَ، حدثنا يزيد بن الهيثم، حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي الليث، حدثنا الأشجعي، عن سفيان، عن يعلى بن عطاء، عن جابر بن يزيد بن الأسوَد، عن أبيه قال: صلَّيتُ مع رسول الله ﷺ، بمِنى، فلمَّا سلَّمَ أبصَرَ رجلين في أواخر الناس فدَعَاهما، فقال: "ما مَنَعَكما أن تُصلِّيا مع الناس؟ " فقالا: يا رسول الله، صلَّينا في الرِّحَال، قال: "فلا تَفعَلا، إذا صلَّى أحدُكم في رَحْلِه ثم أدرك الصلاة مع الإمام، فليُصلِّها معه، فإنها له نافلةٌ" (3).

Jabir bin Yazid bin al-Aswad narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Yazid bin al-Aswad, may Allah be pleased with him): I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at Mina. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) finished with the salam, he saw two men at the back of the people. He (peace and blessings be upon him) had them called and asked: "What prevented you from praying with the people?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah! We had already prayed in our camps (tents)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not do that. When one of you has prayed in his camp and then finds the prayer (being held) with the imam, let him pray it with him as well; it will be a voluntary (nafl) prayer for him."
This hadith is narrated from Ya'la bin Ata', and Imam Muslim used him as evidence. A large group, including Shu'bah and Hisham bin Hassan, narrated it.
