حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العباس بن محمد الدُّوري، حدثنا يحيى بن مَعين، حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي، عن أيوب السَّخْتِياني، عن أبي قِلَابة، عن أنس: أن رسول الله ﷺ أَمَرَ بلالًا أن يَشفَعَ الأذانَ ويُوترَ الإقامة (1).
هذا حديث أسندَه إمامُ أهل الحديث ومزكِّي الرواة بلا مُدافَعة. وقد تابعه عليه الثقةُ المأمون قتيبةُ بن سعيدٍ:

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to say the phrases of the adhan twice each (an even number) and the phrases of the iqamah once each (an odd number).
This hadith has been narrated by the imams of hadith, and its narrator Yahya bin Ma'in is trustworthy.

Hadith 729

كما حدَّثَناه أبو الحسن أحمد بن الخَضِر الشافعي وأبو العباس محمد بن حفص الهَرَوي قالا: حدثنا أبو علي عبد الله بن محمد بن علي الحافظ البَلْخي، حدثنا قُتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي، عن أيوب، عن أبي قِلَابة، عن أنس: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ أمر بلالًا أن يَشفَعَ الأذانَ، ويُوترَ الإقامة (2). الشيخانِ لم يُخرجاه بهذه السِّياقة! وهو صحيح على شرطهما.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to say the phrases of the adhan twice each and the phrases of the iqamah once each.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with this wording.
