حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العباس بن محمد الدُّوري، حدثنا يحيى بن مَعين، حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي، عن أيوب السَّخْتِياني، عن أبي قِلَابة، عن أنس: أن رسول الله ﷺ أَمَرَ بلالًا أن يَشفَعَ الأذانَ ويُوترَ الإقامة (1).
هذا حديث أسندَه إمامُ أهل الحديث ومزكِّي الرواة بلا مُدافَعة. وقد تابعه عليه الثقةُ المأمون قتيبةُ بن سعيدٍ:
[التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] ترقيم العلميه 710 - وهو على شرط الشيخين
هذا حديث أسندَه إمامُ أهل الحديث ومزكِّي الرواة بلا مُدافَعة. وقد تابعه عليه الثقةُ المأمون قتيبةُ بن سعيدٍ:
[التعليق - من تلخيص الذهبي] ترقيم العلميه 710 - وهو على شرط الشيخين
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to say the phrases of the adhan twice each (an even number) and the phrases of the iqamah once each (an odd number).
This hadith has been narrated by the imams of hadith, and its narrator Yahya bin Ma'in is trustworthy.

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو قلابة: هو عبد الله بن زيد الجَرْمي.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): "Abu Qilabah" refers to Abd Allah bin Zayd al-Jarmi.
وأخرجه أحمد 19 (12001)، والبخاري (606)، ومسلم (378) (3) و (5)، والترمذي (193)، والنسائي (1604) من طريق عبد الوهاب بن عبد المجيد الثقفي، بهذا الإسناد. فاستدراك الحاكم له على الشيخين ذهولٌ منه.
Reference / Source: Ahmad 19/(12001), al-Bukhari (606), Muslim (378) (3) and (5), al-Tirmidhi (193) and al-Nasa'i (1604) recorded it by way of Abd al-Wahhab bin Abd al-Majid al-Thaqafi with this same chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hakim's listing of it as an addition to (istidrak on) the two shaykhs is an oversight on his part, since it is already found with them.
وأخرجه البخاري (605)، ومسلم (378) (5)، وأبو داود (508)، وابن حبان (1675) من طرق عن أيوب السختياني، به - وزاد بعضهم فيه: إلّا الإقامة.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (605), Muslim (378) (5), Abu Dawud (508) and Ibn Hibban (1675) recorded it by various routes through Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani, and some of them added the words "except the iqamah".
