It is narrated from a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who was called Ibn Abi al-Jad'a' that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Through the intercession of one man of my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the entire number of (the tribe of) Banu Tamim."
This Abdullah bin Abi al-Jad'a' is a well-known Companion who is mentioned in the Musnad collections, and he was one of the Companions who lived in Makkah.

Hadith Takhrij«
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Shaqiq that he said: I sat with a group of people, of whom I was the fourth. One of them said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Through the intercession of one man of my Ummah, more people than (the tribe of) Banu Tamim will enter Paradise." We said: (O Messenger of Allah!) Someone other than you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, someone other than me." I (Abdullah bin Shaqiq) asked: Did you yourself hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes. When that man left, I asked: Who was this? The people said: This was Ibn Abi al-Jad'a' (a Companion of the Messenger of Allah).
This hadith is sahih, and Bukhari and Muslim used its narrators as evidence. Abdullah bin Shaqiq is a Tabi'i who is used as evidence. The two of them (the two Shaykhs) left it out only because, as we mentioned earlier, a single Tabi'i is alone in narrating from a Companion (which was against their standard).
