أخبرنا أبو عمرو عثمان بن أحمد بن السَّمّاك ببغداد، حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم الواسطي، حدثنا وَهْب بن جَرير، حدثنا شعبة. وأخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن الحسن القاضي، حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحسين، حدثنا آدم بن أبي إياس، حدثنا شعبة (1)، حدثنا خالد، عن عبد الله بن شَقيق، عن رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ يقال له: ابن أبي الجَدْعاء، قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "ليَدخُلَنَّ الجنةَ بشفاعةِ رجلٍ من أمَّتي أكثرُ من بني تَميمٍ" (2). هذا عبد الله بن أبي الجَدْعاء صحابيٌّ مشهور، مخرَّجٌ ذِكرُه في المسانيد، وهو من ساكني مكة من الصحابة.
It is narrated from a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who was called Ibn Abi al-Jad'a' that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Through the intercession of one man of my Ummah, more people will enter Paradise than the entire number of (the tribe of) Banu Tamim."
This Abdullah bin Abi al-Jad'a' is a well-known Companion who is mentioned in the Musnad collections, and he was one of the Companions who lived in Makkah.

(1) من قوله: "وأخبرنا عبد الرحمن" إلى هنا سقط من (ب). وإبراهيم بن الحسين هذا: هو المشهور بابن دِيزيل، حافظ ثقة.
Note / Clarification: The text from "wa akhbarana Abd al-Rahman" up to here has dropped out of manuscript (B).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator Ibrahim bin al-Husayn is well known as "Ibn Dizil", and he is a thiqah hafiz of hadith.
(2) إسناده صحيح، وعبد الرحمن بن الحسن في أحد إسناديه - وإن كان ضعيفًا - متابَع هنا. خالد: هو ابن مِهران الحذّاء.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hasan, who appears in one of its two chains, is da'if, but he is corroborated here. Khalid is Khalid bin Mihran al-Hadhdha'.
وأخرجه أحمد 38/ (23105) عن محمد بن جعفر، عن شعبة، بهذا الإسناد.
