(2). Sayyidah Umm Qays bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) relates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had grown old and put on weight, he took a post (or staff) in prayer for support, on which he would lean.
This hadith is sahih on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not take the narration of Wabisah bin Ma'bad because of the condition of the narrators in its chain.

Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (948) narrated it via the chain of Abd al-Salam bin Abd al-Rahman from his father from Shayban.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (2) The author (al-Hakim) called this chain "fasid" (corrupt), but no reason for this can be seen, since all the narrators up to Wabisah are thiqah and well known, and the chain is muttasil (connected).
