أخبرنا أبو عمرو عثمان بن أحمد بن سَمَّاك ببغداد، حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم الواسطي، حدثنا وَهْب بن جَرِير بن حازم، حدثنا أبي قال: سمعت يحيى بن أيوب يُحدِّث عن يزيد بن أبي حَبِيب، عن سُوَيد بن قيس، عن معاوية بن حُدَيج قال: صلَّيتُ مع رسول الله ﷺ: المغربَ، فسَهَا، فسلَّمَ في ركعتين ثم انصرفَ، فقال له رجل: يا رسول الله، إنك سَهَوتَ فسلَّمتَ في ركعتين! فأمرَ بلالًا فأقامَ الصلاةَ ثم أتمَّ تلك الركعةَ، فسألتُ الناس عن الرجل الذي قال: يا رسول الله، إنك سَهَوتَ، فقيل لي: تعرفُه؟ قلت: لا، إلَّا أن أَراه، فمرَّ بي رجل فقلت: هو هذا، فقالوا: هذا طلحةُ بن عُبيد الله (1). اختصره الليثُ بن سعد عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب:

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Hudayj (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I prayed Maghrib with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) forgot and gave the salam after two rak'ahs, then left. A man said to him: O Messenger of Allah, you forgot and gave the salam after two rak'ahs! So he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal, who called the iqamah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) completed that one rak'ah. I asked the people about the man who had said: O Messenger of Allah, you forgot. I was asked: Do you know him? I said: No, unless I see him. Then a man passed by me and I said: It is this one. They said: This is Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him). Al-Layth bin Sa'd narrated it in abridged form from Yazid bin Abi Habib:

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل علي بن إبراهيم الواسطي ويحيى بن أيوب المصري وسيأتي مكررًا برقم (1221).
Grading: (1) The hadith is sahih, and the chain is "hasan" because of Ali bin Ibrahim and Yahya bin Ayyub. It will come again at number (1221).
وأخرجه ابن حبان (2674) من طريق محمد بن بشار، عن وهب بن جرير، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (2674) narrated it through Muhammad bin Bashshar, from Wahb bin Jarir.
وأخرجه بطوله نحوه أحمد 45/ (27254) عن حجاج بن محمد وأبو داود (1023)، والنسائي (1640) عن قتيبة بن سعيد، كلاهما عن الليث بن سعد، عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب، به. وإسناده صحيح. وانظر ما بعده.
