أخبرني محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا السَّرِيُّ بن خُزَيمة، حدثنا محمد (1) بن سعيد بن الأصبَهاني، حدثنا حفص بن غِيَاث عن حُمَيد بن قيس، عن عبد الله بن شَقِيق، عن عائشة قالت: رأيتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ يصلِّي متربِّعًا (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

The Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) praying while sitting cross-legged.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) تحرَّف "محمد" في النسخ الخطية إلى: عمر.
Technical note: (1) In the manuscripts the name "Muhammad" was distorted into "'Umar".
(2) إسناده صحيح. وقوله في هذا الإسناد: حميد بن قيس، وهمٌ، فإنَّ المعروف بالرواية عن عبد الله بن شقيق هو حميد الطويل، وقد جاء منسوبًا على الصواب عند النسائي (1367) وابن حبان (2512)، وهو الذي صوَّبه الحافظ ابن حجر في "تهذيب التهذيب" في ترجمة حميد بن طرخان.
Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih.
Technical note: Saying "Humayd bin Qays" in this chain is an error, because the well-known narrator from Abd Allah bin Shaqiq is "Humayd al-Tawil", as is explicitly stated with al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban, and Ibn Hajar also confirmed this correction.
وسيأتي الحديث برقم (1034) من طريق أبي داود الحفري عن حفص بن غياث.
Repetition: It will come later at number (1034) through Abu Dawud al-Hafari from Hafs bin Ghiyath.
