حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، حدثنا حَرمَلة بن عبد العزيز بن الرَّبيع بن سَبْرة، عن عمِّه عبد الملك بن الرَّبيع، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "عَلِّموا الصبيَّ الصلاةَ ابنَ سبعِ سنين، واضرِبُوه عليها ابنَ عَشْرٍ" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Sabrah bin Ma'bad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Teach the child the prayer at the age of seven, and when he reaches ten (and does not pray), discipline him for it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
