Sayyiduna Abu Burdah came to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: "O mother! Tell me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." She said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Birds (taken as omens) fly only according to the decree of Allah," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) liked a good omen.
The two Shaykhs used all the narrators of this hadith as evidence except Yusuf bin Abi Burdah, and in my view they did not leave him out due to any criticism or weakness, but rather due to the scarcity of his narrations, for his hadiths are very rare.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
13/ 410. Technical note / Defect ('illah): In manuscripts (S) and (B) the name is distorted, and "al-Husayn" is written instead of "al-Hasan", whereas in other places in al-Mustadrak the name is recorded correctly. Note / Clarification: For his biography see "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'" (13/410).
Grading: This chain is "hasan" because of the presence of Hassan bin Ibrahim and Yusuf bin Abi Burdah. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it in his Musnad 41/(24982) from Affan bin Muslim with this chain. Reference / Source: Imam Ibn Hibban narrated it at (5824) by way of Dawud bin Amr al-Dabbi, from Hassan bin Ibrahim. Note / Clarification: "Al-fa'l" (good omen) means taking good hope and cheer from a word or deed, and it is the opposite of "tasha'um" (taking a bad omen).
