أخبرنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه، أخبرنا الحسن بن علي بن زياد، حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى، حدثنا وَكِيع، عن شُعْبة، عن قَتَادة، عن أنس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "مِن حُسْن الصلاة إقامةُ الصفِّ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، وإنما اتَّفقا على غير هذا اللفظ، وهو أنَّ تَسوِيةَ الصفِّ من تَمَام الصلاة.

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Straightening the rows is part of the excellence of the prayer."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim; they both agreed only upon the wording that making the rows even is part of the completion of the prayer.

(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل الحسن بن علي بن زياد.
Grading: (2) The hadith is sahih, and this chain is "hasan" because of al-Hasan bin 'Ali bin Ziyad.
وأخرجه أحمد 20/ (12841) عن وكيع، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (20/12841) narrated it via Waki', with this same chain.
وأخرجه أيضًا 19/ (12231) من طريق همّام - وهو ابن يحيى العَوْذي - عن قتادة به.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (19/12231) narrated it with the chain of Hammam bin Yahya al-'Awdhi from Qatadah.
وقد روي بغير هذا اللفظ - كما أشار المصنف لاحقًا - وهو بمعناه من طرق عن شعبة عند أحمد 20/ (12813) و 21/ (13899) و (13901) و (14096)، والبخاري (723)، ومسلم (433)، وأبو داود (668)، وابن ماجه (993)، وابن حبان (2171) و (2174).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: This narration is reported with different wording (but the same meaning) through the route of Shu'bah in al-Bukhari (723), Muslim (433), Abu Dawud (668), Ibn Majah (993) and Ibn Hibban.
