أخبرني أحمد بن محمد بن بالَوَيهِ العَفْصي (1)، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حَنبَل، حدثنا هُدْبة بن خالد، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الصمد العَمِّي، حدثنا يزيد بن المِقْدام، عن سعيد بن المسيّب، عن أبي هريرة قال: قد رأَيْنا من كلِّ شيءٍ قاله لنا رسولُ الله ﷺ، غيرَ أنه قال: "يقال لرجالٍ يومَ القيامة: اطرَحُوا سِياطَكم وادخلوا جهنَّمَ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We have seen everything that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us about, except that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection it will be said to some men: Throw down your whips and enter Hell."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Textual verification: In the manuscripts this word has been corrupted into "al-'Uqbi". See al-Sam'ani's "al-Ansab" (8/481).
(2) إسناده ضعيف جدًّا، وقد وقع فيه عند المصنف وهمٌ حيث سمَّى فيه الراوي عن سعيد بن المسيب يزيدَ بنَ المقدام، وليس في هذه الطبقة من يسمى كذلك، وروى هذا الحديث البزار في "مسنده" (7850) عن محمد بن الأسود العمِّي عن عبد العزيز بن عبد الصمد عن أبي المقدام عن سعيد بن المسيب، وسمّاه هشامَ بن زياد وقال: ليس بالقوي.
Grading: Its chain is very weak.
Technical note (error): An error occurred in it with the author (al-Hakim), in that he named the narrator from Sa'id bin al-Musayyab "Yazid bin al-Miqdam", while there is no one of that name in this generation. Al-Bazzar narrated this hadith in his "Musnad" (7850) from Muhammad bin al-Aswad al-'Ammi, from 'Abd al-'Aziz bin 'Abd al-Samad, from Abu al-Miqdam, from Sa'id bin al-Musayyab, and he named him (Abu al-Miqdam) "Hisham bin Ziyad" and said: "He is not strong."
قلنا: إن كان ما عند البزار محفوظًا، فإنَّ هشامًا هذا متروك الحديث.
Narrator appraisal: We (the editors) say: if what al-Bazzar has is preserved, then this Hisham (bin Ziyad) is matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith).
