It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which of these two cities (of the Romans) will be conquered first, meaning Constantinople or Rome? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The city of Heraclius will be conquered first," meaning Constantinople.
