Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8601

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allegiance will be pledged to a man between the Corner (al-Rukn) and the Station (al-Maqam). And none will violate the sanctity of this House (the Ka'bah) except its own people. When they violate its sanctity, then do not ask about the destruction of the Arabs. Then the Abyssinians will come and demolish it in such a way that it will never be inhabited again after that, and they are the ones who will take out its treasure."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but the two Shaykhs did not record it in their books.

Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Identification of the narrator: Ibn Abi Dhi'b is Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Mughirah bin al-Harith.
Takhrij: It was narrated by Ahmad 14/ (8351) and Ibn Hibban (6827) via Ishaq bin Sulayman al-Razi, with this same chain.
Further takhrij: Ahmad also narrated it in further places, 13/ (7910, 8114) and 14/ (8351, 8619), via various routes from Ibn Abi Dhi'b.
Reference: See the hadith of Abd Allah bin Amr coming next under number (8616), which is mawquf on him.

Analysis: Al-Dhahabi said in his "Talkhis": "The two of them (al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record anything from Ibn Sam'an, no one narrated from him except Ibn Abi Dhi'b, and he has been criticised." So he said; yet Abu Sa'id Sabiq bin Abd Allah al-Raqqi also narrated from Ibn Sam'an, as in "Tahdhib al-Kamal". Moreover, al-Nasa'i, al-Daraqutni and Ibn Hibban declared him "thiqah", and only Abu al-Fath al-Azdi was alone in declaring him weak, which carries no weight.
