فحدثناه (2) أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله بن دينار العَدْل، حدثنا السَّرِيُّ بن خزيمة، حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل وحجاج بن منهال قالا: حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، حدثنا قتادة، عن مطرف، عن عِمران بن حصين، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "لا تزالُ طائفةٌ من أمتي يقاتلون على الحقِّ، ظاهرين على من ناوَأَهم، حتى يقاتل آخرهم الدجال" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A group of my Ummah will always keep fighting for the sake of the truth, dominant over those who oppose them, until the last of them fight the Dajjal."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) في نسخنا الخطية: حدثنا، وسقط منها قوله: "وأما حديث عمران بن حصين"، وأثبتناه من المطبوع.
Note: In our manuscripts "haddathana" was written here, and the words "wa amma hadith Imran bin Husayn" had dropped out; we have established them with the help of the printed edition.
(3) إسناده صحيح. مطرّف: هو ابن عبد الله بن الشِّخِّير.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Identification of the narrator: Mutarrif is Mutarrif bin Abd Allah bin al-Shikhkhir.
وأخرجه أبو داود (2484) عن موسى بن إسماعيل - وهو أبو سلمة التبوذكي - بهذا الإسناد.
Takhrij: It was narrated by Abu Dawud (2484) from Musa bin Isma'il - who is Abu Salamah al-Tabudhaki - with this same chain.
وسلف برقم (2423) من طريق علي بن عبد العزيز البغوي عن حجاج بن منهال وحده.
Reference: This hadith has passed earlier under number (2423) via Ali bin Abd al-Aziz al-Baghawi from Hajjaj bin Minhal alone.
