It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The Hour will not be established until ten signs (appear): a sinking of the earth in the East, a sinking of the earth in the West, a sinking of the earth in the Arabian Peninsula, the emergence of the Dajjal, the smoke, the descent of Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him), Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog), the beast that will come out of the earth (Dabbat al-Ard), the rising of the sun from its west, and a fire that will come out of the depths of Aden which will drive the people towards the place of gathering; it will round up even the tiny particles and the ants and gather them (at the place of gathering)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: The text given in brackets had dropped out of our handwritten manuscripts, and we have restored it from al-Dhahabi's "Talkhis al-Mustadrak"; it is necessary, because no narration from the narrator "Amr" by anyone other than Yahya bin Abi Amr al-Saybani is known.
Note / Clarification: This text had dropped out of the handwritten manuscripts, and we have restored it from the printed edition and from al-Tabarani's "Musnad al-Shamiyyin", while it has also dropped out of al-Tabarani's "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir".
Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi" and this chain is "hasan". Technical note / Defect ('illah): "Amr al-Hadrami" (although Abu Zur'ah Yahya bin Abi Amr al-Saybani is alone in narrating from him) narrated from several Companions, and al-Ijli, Ibn Hibban and Ya'qub bin Sufyan declared him trustworthy. Ibn Hibban said in "Mashahir Ulama' al-Amsar" (906): "He was mutqin (precise)." Regarding the narrator "Sadaqah al-Sha'bani", Abu Zur'ah al-Razi said: "La ba'sa bihi" (there is no harm in him). And regarding "Imran bin Abi Imran al-Sufi" (who is Imran bin Harun al-Ramli), Ibn Yunus said: "There is softness (weakness) in his hadith", while Abu Zur'ah al-Razi called him "saduq" (truthful).
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" (22/195) and "Musnad al-Shamiyyin" (864) from Muttalib bin Shu'ayb al-Azdi, from Imran bin Harun al-Ramli, with this same chain.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It is supported (a shahid) by the hadith of Hudhayfah bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him), which is in the Musnad of Ahmad (26/16141), Muslim (2901) and others.
