Ali bin al-Madini said: The stepsons (rabib) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) were Salamah bin Abi Salamah and Umar bin Abi Salamah, and the Makhzumi woman who stole sought protection through one of them.
The two Shaykhs agreed on recording the narration of al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Makhzumi woman in fact went to seek protection with Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him), and that is what is correct.
