حدَّثَناه أبو سعيد أحمد بن يعقوب الثَّقفي، حدَّثنا يوسف بن يعقوب القاضي، حدَّثنا محمد بن أبي بكر، حدَّثنا عبد الوارث، حدَّثنا أيوب، عن ابن أبي مُلَيكة، قال: أخبرني عُقبة بن الحارث قال: جِيء بالنُّعيمان، فأمرَ رسول الله ﷺ مَن في البيت، فَضَرَبُوه بالأيدي والنِّعال، وكنت فيمن ضَرَبَه (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that al-Nu'ayman was brought, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an order to those who were in the house, so they beat him with their hands and sandals, and I was among those who beat him.

(2) إسناده صحيح. محمد بن أبي بكر: هو ابن علي بن عطاء المقدَّمي، وعبد الوارث: هو ابن سعيد بن ذكوان.
Grading: (2) Its isnad is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Muhammad bin Abi Bakr: he is Ibn Ali bin Ata' al-Muqaddami; and Abd al-Warith: he is Ibn Sa'id bin Dhakwan.
وأخرجه أحمد 26/ (16150) و 32/ (19425) عن عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، عن أبيه، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was also recorded by Ahmad 26/ (16150) and 32/ (19425) from Abd al-Samad bin Abd al-Warith, from his father, with this same isnad.
Grading: (2) Its isnad is sahih.
