حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، أخبرنا ابن وهب، أخبرني الليث بن سعد، عن سعيد بن أبي هِلال، عن مروان بن عثمان، عن أبي أُمامة بن سهل بن حُنَيف، أنَّ خالته أخبرته قالت: لقد أَقرأَنا رسول الله ﷺ آية الرَّجْم: (الشَّيحُ والشَّيخة فارجُموهما البَتَّةَ بما قَضَيا من اللَّذّة) (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه بهذه السِّياقة.

It is narrated from Abu Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunayf that his maternal aunt told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us to recite this verse of stoning: "The old man and the old woman, stone them both without fail for the pleasure they have taken."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it with this wording.

(1) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف من أجل مروان بن عثمان: وهو ابن أبي سعيد بن المعلى.
Grading: (1) This narration is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and this chain is weak on account of Marwan bin Uthman (who is Ibn Abi Sa'id bin al-Mu'alla).
وقد خالف عبدَ الله بن وهب فيه جماعةٌ عن الليث بن سعد فرووه بزيادة خالد بن يزيد المصري بين الليث وسعيد بن أبي هلال، كما سيأتي. خالة أبي أمامة سُمّيت في رواية يحيى بن بكير عند الطبراني (867) بالعجماء.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): A group narrating from al-Layth bin Sa'd contradicted Abd Allah bin Wahb in it: they narrated it with the addition of "Khalid bin Yazid al-Misri" between al-Layth and Sa'id bin Abi Hilal, as is coming.
Note / Clarification: In the narration of Yahya bin Bukayr in al-Tabarani (867), the maternal aunt of Abu Umamah is named "al-Ajma'".
وأخرجه النسائي (7108) عن أحمد بن عمرو بن السرح، عن عبد الله بن وهب، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (7108) narrated it from Ahmad bin Amr bin al-Sarh, from Abd Allah bin Wahb, with this same chain.
وأخرجه ابن أبي عاصم في "الآحاد والمثاني" (3344)، والنسائي (7109) من طريق سعيد بن أبي مريم، وابن أبي عاصم (3344)، والطبراني (455) - وعنه أبو نعيم في "معرفة الصحابة" (8086) - من طريق أبي صالح عبد الله بن صالح، والطبراني (867) وعنه أبو نعيم (7776) - من طريق يحيى بن بكير، ثلاثتهم عن الليث بن سعد، عن خالد بن يزيد عن سعيد بن أبي هلال، به. فزادوا خالد بن يزيد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Asim narrated it in "al-Ahad wa al-Mathani" (3344) and al-Nasa'i (7109) via Sa'id bin Abi Maryam; Ibn Abi Asim (3344) and al-Tabarani (455), and from him Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (8086), via Abu Salih Abd Allah bin Salih; and al-Tabarani (867), and from him Abu Nu'aym (7776), via Yahya bin Bukayr; all three of them (Sa'id, Abu Salih, Yahya) narrate it from al-Layth bin Sa'd, from Khalid bin Yazid, from Sa'id bin Abi Hilal, in the same way. So they added "Khalid bin Yazid" (to the chain).
