حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن عفان العامري، حدثنا يحيى بن آدم، حدثنا إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن هانئ وهُبَيرة (1) ابن يَرِيم، عن عليّ قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "دَعُوا الجاريةَ مع خالتِها، فإنَّ الخالةَ أمٌّ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه بهذه السِّياقة.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hand the girl over to her maternal aunt, for the maternal aunt is like a mother."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with this wording.

(1) في (ز) و (ب): هانئ عن هبيرة، وسقطت الواو من (ك)، ومحلها بياض في (م)، وأثبتنا الصواب كما في مصادر التخريج، وكذا سلف على الصواب في الرواية المطوّلة برقم (4664).
Note / Clarification: In manuscripts (Z) and (B) it is "Hani' from Hubayrah", in manuscript (K) the "waw" has dropped, and in manuscript (M) its place is left blank. We have recorded the correct text as found in the sources of takhrij, and it has likewise passed correctly in the long narration at number (4664).
(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل هانئ بن هانئ وهُبيرة بن يَرِيم، فهما صدوقان حسنا الحديث، وبمتابعة أحدهما للآخر يصح الحديث.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, and this chain is "hasan" because of Hani' bin Hani' and Hubayrah bin Yarim; both are saduq (truthful) and hasan al-hadith, and with each corroborating the other the hadith becomes sahih.
وأخرجه مطولًا أحمد 2/ (770)، والنسائي (8526) من طريق يحيى بن آدم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (2/ 770) and al-Nasa'i (8526) narrated it at length via Yahya bin Adam with this same chain.
