حدثنا أبو بكر أحمد بن إسحاق بن أيوب الإمام، أخبرنا محمد بن غالب، حدثنا زكريا بن يحيى، حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر، حدثنا عبد الله بن دينار، عن ابن عمر قال: أقبَلَ رسولُ الله ﷺ على حمار، فلقيَه رجلٌ فقال: يا رسولَ الله، رجلٌ ترك عمَّتَه وخالتَه لا وارثَ له غيرُهما"، قال فرفع رأسَه إلى السماء، فقال: "اللهمَّ رجلٌ تركَ عمَّتَه وخالتَه لا وارثَ له غيرهما" ثم قال: "أين السائلُ؟ " قال: ها أنا ذا، قال: "لا ميراث لهما" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، فإنَّ عبد الله بن جعفر المَدِيني وإِن شَهِدَ عليه ابنُه بسُوءِ الحِفْظ، فليس ممن يُترَكُ حديثُه. وله شاهدٌ:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was coming, riding a donkey, when a man met him and said: "O Messenger of Allah! A man has died who left his paternal aunt and his maternal aunt, and he has no heir other than them." The narrator said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his head towards the sky and said: "O Allah, a man has left his paternal aunt and his maternal aunt, and he has no heir other than them." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where is the questioner?" He said: Here I am. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no inheritance for the two of them."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, because although his son testified to the poor memory of Abdullah bin Ja'far al-Madini, he is not among those whose hadith is abandoned.

(1) إسناده ضعيف من أجل عبد الله بن جعفر: وهو ابن نجيح المَديني. وبه أعلّه الذهبي في "التلخيص"، فقال: ولا احتجَّ به أحد.
Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak) because of 'Abdullah bin Ja'far (Ibn Najih al-Madini).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Dhahabi declared it defective in "al-Talkhis" and said: "No one has taken him as proof."
