فأخبرَناه أحمد بن جعفر القَطِيعي، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثني أبي حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم، عن محمد بن إسحاق، حدثني علي بن يحيى بن خلّاد بن رافع الأنصاري أحدُ بني زُرَيق، عن أبيه، عن عمِّه رِفاعة بن رافع قال: بَيْنا نحن عند رسول الله ﷺ في المسجد، إذْ أقبلَ رجلٌ من الأنصار بعد أن فَرَغَ رسولُ الله ﷺ من الصلاة، فصلَّى ثم أقبلَ حتى قام على رسول الله ﷺ فسلَّم عليه، فقال: "وعليكَ، ارجع فصلِّ فإنك لم تصلِّ" فذكر الحديث (2). وأما حديث إسماعيل بن جعفر:
Sayyiduna Rifa'ah bin Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the mosque when a man from the Ansar came, at a time when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had already finished the prayer. He prayed and then came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and greeted him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And upon you be peace. Go back and pray, for you have not prayed."

(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل محمد بن إسحاق.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is of "hasan" level because of Muhammad bin Ishaq.
وأخرجه أبو داود (860) عن مؤمَّل بن هشام، عن إسماعيل - وهو ابن عُليّة - بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abu Dawud narrated it at (860) via Mu'ammal bin Hisham from Isma'il bin Ulayyah.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is of "hasan" level because of Muhammad bin Ishaq.
