حَدَّثَنَا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حَدَّثَنَا بكّار بن قُتيبة القاضي بمصر، حَدَّثَنَا صفوان بن عيسى، حَدَّثَنَا الحارث بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ذُبَاب، عن سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "لمَّا خَلَقَ اللهُ ﷿ آدَمَ ونفخَ فيه الروحَ عَطَسَ، فقال: الحمدُ الله، فحَمِدَ الله بإذن الله، فقال له ربُّه: يَرحمُك ربُّك يا آدمُ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, created Adam (peace be upon him) and breathed the soul into him, he sneezed and said: 'Alhamdu lillah' (All praise is for Allah). So he praised Allah by Allah's leave, and then his Lord said to him: 'O Adam, may your Lord have mercy on you.'"

(2) حديث حسن، وهذا إسناد لا بأس برجاله، والحارث بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ذياب صدوق له أوهام، وقد سلف الحديث مطولًا برقم (215)، وسلف الكلام عليه هناك.

Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is no harm in the narrators of this chain; al-Harith bin 'Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Dhubab is "saduq" (truthful) but he is prone to errors (awham).
