Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7737

(4) حديث حسن لكن من حديث ابن عباس لا من حديث عائشة كما سيأتي، وهذا إسناد ضعيف من أجل إبراهيم بن إسماعيل بن أبي حبيبة، وقد اضطرب فيه فمرةً جعله من مسند عائشة كما في هذه الرواية، ومرة جعله من مسند ابن عباس، وهو الأصح كما سيأتي. وأخرجه ابن عدي في "الكامل" 1/ 235 من طريق محمد بن خالد ابن عثمة، عن إبراهيم بن إسماعيل بن أبي حبيبة، بهذا الإسناد.
Grading: This hadith is hasan, but it is established as a narration of Ibn 'Abbas, not of 'A'ishah (as will come).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This chain is da'if (weak) because of Ibrahim bin Isma'il bin Abi Habibah; he was inconsistent (idtirab) in it, sometimes narrating it among the narrations of 'A'ishah and sometimes among those of Ibn 'Abbas, and the Ibn 'Abbas version is the more authentic.
Reference / Source: Ibn 'Adi narrated it in "al-Kamil" (1/235) via Muhammad bin Khalid bin 'Athmah from Ibrahim bin Isma'il.
وأخرجه بنحوه الطبراني في "الكبير" (11561) من طريق إسحاق بن محمد الفروي، عن إبراهيم ابن إسماعيل بن أبي حبيبة، عن داود بن حصين، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani narrated a narration of similar meaning in "al-Kabir" (11561) via Ishaq bin Muhammad al-Farwi, from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
وأخرجه أحمد 5/ (2802) عن حجاج بن محمد، عن ابن جريج قال: أخبرني عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، فذكره. وهذا إسناد رجاله ثقات، لكن نرى أن حجاج بن محمد وهمَ في ذكر تصريح ابن جريج بالإخبار، فقد نصَّ ابنُ المديني على أنه لم يلق عكرمة وفاتنا أن ننبّه على ذلك في "المسند"، فليستدرك.
Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it (5/2802) via Hajjaj bin Muhammad from Ibn Jurayj, who said: 'Ikrimah informed me from Ibn 'Abbas.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): All its narrators are thiqah (trustworthy), but Hajjaj bin Muhammad erred in mentioning Ibn Jurayj's explicit statement of hearing, because Ibn al-Madini stated explicitly that Ibn Jurayj did not meet 'Ikrimah. A note on this was missed in "al-Musnad", and it has now been made up for here.
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (11504) وفي "الأوسط" (8974) من طريق ابن لهيعة، عن أبي الأسود محمد بن عبد الرحمن، عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس: أن رسول الله ﷺ أعطى سعد ابن أبي وقاص جَذَعًا من المعز، فأمره أن يضحي به.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani narrated in "al-Kabir" (11504) and "al-Awsat" (8974) via Ibn Lahi'ah from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas a jadha' goat and ordered him to sacrifice it.
وسلف عند المصنف ضمن حديث برقم (1760 م) من طريق عطاء بن أبي رباح عن ابن عباس بسند حسن.
Reference / Source: With the author (al-Hakim), this narration has already passed under hadith number (1760 m) via 'Ata' bin Abi Rabah with a hasan chain.
