Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 706

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the two whose homes were farthest away were Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir (whose home was in Quba) and Abu Abs bin Jabr (whose home was among Banu Harithah). Both of them would pray Asr with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and then reach their people before they had yet prayed, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead the Asr prayer very early.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
