Bashir bin Abi Mas'ud narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray Asr while the sun was white and high; then a man would finish the prayer and reach Dhul-Hulayfah (which is six miles from Madinah) before the sun set.
The two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) recorded the narration of Bashir bin Abi Mas'ud through al-Zuhri with different wording, but they did not record this wording, even though it is sahih (authentic) on their condition.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is hasan because of Abd Allah bin Salih, the scribe of al-Layth bin Sa'd, and Usamah bin Zayd al-Laythi. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Abd Allah bin Salih has also been corroborated (mutaba'ah) in this narration. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud narrated it within a hadith (394), and Ibn Hibban at (1449) and (1494), via Abd Allah bin Wahb, from Usamah bin Zayd al-Laythi, with this same chain.
(610). Important point: This refers to the hadith of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that mentions Jibril (peace be upon him) leading the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in prayer. Reference / Source: This narration is with al-Bukhari (521) and Muslim (610).
