حدَّثَناه أبو جعفر محمد بن محمد بن عبد الله البغدادي، حَدَّثَنَا المقدام بن داود بن تَلِيد الرُّعَيني، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الغفار بن داود الحرَّاني، حَدَّثَنَا حمَّاد بن سَلَمة، عن عُبيد الله بن أبي بكر وثابت، عن أنس، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "إذا توضَّأَ أحدُكم ولَبِسَ خُفَّيهِ، فليُصلِّ فيهما وليَمسَحْ عليها، ثم لا يخلَعُهما إن شاء إلّا من جَنَابة" (3). هذا إسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم وعبد الغفار بن داود ثقةٌ غيرَ أنه ليس عند أهل البصرة عن حمّاد.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you performs ablution and puts on his leather socks, let him pray in them and wipe over them, and then, if he wishes, not take them off except for ritual impurity (janabah)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. The narrator Abd al-Ghaffar bin Dawud is reliable (thiqah), although the people of Basrah do not have his narration from Hammad.

Grading: This chain is weak due to the weakness of al-Miqdam bin Dawud.
وأخرجه الدارقطني (781)، والبيهقي 1/ 279 من طريق المقدام، بهذا الإسناد.
