حَدَّثَنَا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حَدَّثَنَا بَحْر بن نَصْر بن سابق الخَوْلاني، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْر بن بكر، حَدَّثَنَا موسى بن عُليّ بن رَبَاحٍ، عن أبيه، عن عُقْبة بن عامر الجُهَني قال: خرجتُ من الشام إلى المدينة يومَ الجمعة، فدخلتُ المدينة يومَ الجمعة، فدخلتُ على عمر بن الخطَّاب، فقال لي: متى أَولجْتَ خُفَّيكَ في رِجلَيك؟ قلت: يومَ الجمعة، قال: فهل نَزَعتهما؟ قلت: لا، فقال: أصبتَ السُّنةَ (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. وله شاهدٌ آخر عن عُقْبة بن عامر:

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I set out from Syria for Madinah on a Friday and reached Madinah the following Friday. I went to Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and he asked me: "When did you put on these leather socks (khuffs)?" I said: "On Friday." He asked: "Have you taken them off?" I said: "No." He said: "You have acted according to the Sunnah."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
