It is narrated from Nafi' that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) performed tayammum at a distance of one or two miles from Madinah and prayed the Asr prayer. Then he came into Madinah while the sun was still high, and he did not repeat the prayer.

4/ 290. Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this is corrupted (tahrif) into "al-Saghani"; the correct reading is "al-San'ani", from San'a' in Yemen, as the author will specify at number (3655). Important point: He is Muhammad bin Ishaq bin al-Sabbah al-San'ani; Abu Ishaq al-Hiri narrated from him, from Muhammad bin Ju'sham (Muhammad bin Shurahbil bin Ju'sham), the "Jami' al-Thawri", as Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim said in his "Tarikh", according to al-Sam'ani in the biography of al-Hiri in "al-Ansab" 4/ 290.
