Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 626

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was married to Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, suffered from istihadah for seven years. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed her, saying: "When the menstruation comes, leave the prayer; and when it ends, take a ritual bath and pray."
This hadith of Amr bin al-Harith and al-Awza'i is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it; Imam Muslim recorded the narration of Sufyan bin Uyaynah and Ibrahim bin Sa'd from al-Zuhri with a different wording. Muhammad bin Amr also corroborated al-Awza'i, and this is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim.

Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu al-Mughirah is Abd al-Quddus bin al-Hajjaj.
Reference / Source: It is in "Musnad Ahmad" 41/ (24538) at greater length than here, but there the chain reads "Urwah from Amrah".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Its full takhrij can be seen at that place in Musnad Ahmad.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah recorded it (626) from Muhammad bin Yahya, from Abu al-Mughirah, with this chain.
Reference / Source: Al-Nasa'i (209, 210) and Ibn Hibban (1353) recorded it via several routes from al-Awza'i, with it.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In al-Nasa'i, al-Nu'man bin al-Mundhir and Hafs bin Ghaylan are paired (maqrun) with al-Awza'i, and in Ibn Hibban, al-Layth bin Sa'd. The hadith of al-Layth bin Sa'd is in Ahmad 41/ (24523), Muslim (334) (63), Abu Dawud (290) and al-Nasa'i (205) from Urwah alone.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (42/ 25095) and al-Bukhari (327) recorded it via Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from al-Zuhri, with it.

Important point: Rather, Muslim also recorded it via Amr bin al-Harith with its chain and text, as mentioned earlier.
