وقد حَدَّثَنَا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبيع بن سليمان، حَدَّثَنَا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث، عن ابن شِهاب، عن عُرْوة بن الزُّبير وعَمْرة، عن عائشة: أنَّ أمّ حَبِيبة بنت جَحْش كانت تحت عبد الرحمن بن عَوْف، وأنها استُحِيضت سبعَ سنين، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "إِنَّ هذا ليس بالحَيْضة، ولكنها عِرقٌ، فاغتسلي" (2).
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Umm Habibah bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the wife of Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, suffered from istihadah for seven years. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is not menstruation; rather, it is (blood from) a vein, so take a ritual bath."
