Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 556

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to warm himself with her after the ritual bath (ghusl).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith Grading
Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This chain is weak because of the weakness of "Hurayth bin Abi Matar".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Sharik refers to "Ibn 'Abd Allah al-Nakha'i", and Abu al-Rabi' refers to "Sulayman bin Dawud al-'Ataki al-Zahrani".
Reference / Source: Imam Ibn Majah narrated it (580) through Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah, from Sharik bin 'Abd Allah, with this same chain.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi narrated it (123) through the route of Waki' bin al-Jarrah, from Hurayth bin Abi Matar.
Grading: Imam al-Tirmidhi said that there is no harm in its chain.

Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts "wa-'Abdah" is written, whereas there is no narrator of this name in this generation who narrates from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her); so perhaps the correct form is what we have recorded in the text.
Note / Clarification: We could not find these two routes in the sources available to us.
