حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن زياد. وأخبرني عبد الله بن محمد بن موسى، حدثنا محمد بن أيوب؛ قالا: حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى الرازيُّ، حدثنا يحيى بن زكريا بن أبي زائدة، حدثنا شُعْبة، عن حَبِيب بن زيد، عن عبَّاد بن تميم، عن عبد الله بن زيد: أنَّ النبي ﷺ أُتِيَ بثُلُثي مُدٍّ من ماء فتوضَّأَ، فجعل يَدلُك ذراعَيهِ (2). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that two-thirds of a mudd (about half a kilogram) of water was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and began rubbing his forearms.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Bukhari and Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Reference / Source: This narration will come again later in the book at number (585). وأخرجه ابن حبان (1083) من طريق أبي كريب محمد بن العلاء، عن ابن أبي زائدة، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Imam Ibn Hibban narrated it (1083) through Abu Kurayb Muhammad bin al-'Ala', from Yahya bin Zakariyya Ibn Abi Za'idah, with this same chain. وأخرجه ابن حبان أيضًا (1082) من طريق يحيى بن سعيد القطان، عن شعبة، به. دون ذكر قَدْر الماء. Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban narrated it (1082) through Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan, from Shu'bah bin al-Hajjaj, with this same chain.
