A similar report is narrated from the father of Abu al-Malih. A shaykh from Basra narrated it from Muhammad bin al-Minhal and said in it "from Shu'bah", which is an error on his part.
This chain is sahih (authentic): Abu al-Malih's name is Amir bin Usamah, and his father, Usamah bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him), is a Companion from Banu Lihyan whose hadith are recorded in the Musnad collections, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
