أخبرنا الحسن بن يعقوب بن يوسف العَدْل، حدثنا يحيى بن أبي طالب، أخبرنا عبد الوهاب بن عطاء، حدثنا سعيد بن أبي عَرُوبة عن قَتَادة، عن أبي المَلِيح، عن أبيه قال: نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن جُلود السِّبَاع (4).
Abu al-Malih narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Usamah bin Umayr, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (the use of) the skins of predatory animals.

(4) إسناده قوي. ¤ ¤ وأخرجه أحمد 34/ (20706) و (20712)، وأبو داود (4132)، والترمذي (1770)، والنسائي (4565) من طرق عن سعيد بن أبي عروبة، بهذا الإسناد - زاد الترمذي: أن تُفترش.
Grading: Its chain is qawi (strong).
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it in "Musnad Ahmad" 34/ (20706) and (20712), Abu Dawud (4132), al-Tirmidhi (1770) and al-Nasa'i (4565), through various routes from Sa'id bin Abi 'Arubah, with this same chain.
Details of the narration: The narration of Imam al-Tirmidhi adds the words: "that they (the skins of beasts of prey) be used as spreads."
وروي عن أبي المليح عن النبي ﷺ مرسلًا كما عند الترمذي (1771) وغيره، وهو الذي رجَّحه الترمذي.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This narration is also reported from Abu al-Malih ('Amir bin Usamah) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as "mursal", as found in Imam al-Tirmidhi (1771) and others.
Important point: Imam al-Tirmidhi preferred this very "mursal" route (over the connected one).
