ما حدَّثَنيهِ أبو علي محمد بن علي الإسفرايِني من أصل كتابه - وأنا سألتُه - حدثنا علي بن عبد الله بن مُبشِّر الواسطي، حدثنا شعيب بن أيوب، حدثنا أبو أسامة، حدثنا الوليد بن كثير، عن محمد بن جعفر بن الزُّبير ومحمد بن عبَّاد بن جعفر، عن عبد الله بن عبد الله بن عمر، عن أبيه قال: سُئِلَ رسولُ الله ﷺ عن الماء وما يَنُوبُه من الدوابِّ والسِّباع، فقال النبي ﷺ: "إذا كان الماء قُلَّتينِ، لم يَحمِل الخَبَث" (3). وقد صحَّ وثَبَتَ بهذه الرواية صحةُ الحديث، وظهر أنَّ أبا أسامة ساق الحديث عن الوليد بن كثير عنهما جميعًا، فإنَّ شعيب بن أيوب الصَّرِيفيني ثقة مأمون، وكذلك الطريق إليه. وقد تابع الوليدَ بنَ كثير على روايته عن محمد بن جعفر بن الزُّبير محمدُ بنُ إسحاق بن يَسَار القرشي:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about water and animals coming to it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When water is equal to two large jars (qullatayn), it does not become impure."
This narration establishes that Abu Usamah heard this hadith through al-Walid bin Kathir from both of them (Muhammad bin Ja'far and Muhammad bin Abbad), because Shu'ayb bin Ayyub is a trustworthy (thiqah) and reliable narrator.
