It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed through a mountain pass and asked: "Which pass is this?" The Companions said: "This is such and such a pass." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is as if I am looking at Yunus bin Matta (peace be upon him) riding a she-camel whose halter is of palm fibre, wearing a cloak (jubbah) of wool, and saying: 'Labbayka Allahumma labbayk' (Here I am, O Allah, here I am)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: It is sahih, but as the narration of Dawud bin Abi Hind from Abu al-'Aliyah (Rufay' bin Mihran al-Riyahi) from Ibn Abbas. Technical note / Defect ('illah): It appears that the error (wahm) in it comes from "Muhammad bin Ghalib" (Tamtam), since he had some errors. For this same hadith was narrated from 'Affan by Zuhayr bin Harb (in Abu Ya'la (2542), and from him Ibn Hibban (6219)) and by Bishr bin Musa al-Asadi (in Abu Nu'aym's "al-Hilyah" 2/ 223 and 3/ 96), and both of them said: "from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ibn Abbas". Abu Nu'aym said: Likewise it was narrated from 'Affan by Ahmad bin Hanbal, Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah and the (other) imams. Reference / Source: Likewise it was narrated by al-Hasan bin Musa al-Ashyab (as has already passed under no. 3352) and by al-Hajjaj bin Minhal (in al-Tabarani (12756)), both of them from Hammad bin Salamah. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Likewise a group narrated it from Dawud bin Abi Hind, as has already been explained under no. (3352); so what is preserved (mahfuz) is that it is "from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ibn Abbas".
Reference / Source: Rather, it was recorded by Muslim (166) through two routes from Dawud bin Abi Hind, from Abu al-'Aliyah, from Ibn Abbas.
