حدثنا مُكرَم بن أحمد القاضي ببغداد، حدثنا أحمد بن حيان بن مُلاعِب، حدثنا سعيد بن عامر، حدثنا محمد بن عمرو بن علقمة، عن أبي سلمة، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إنَّ الكريم ابن الكريم ابن الكريم (1) يوسف بن يعقوب بن إسحاق بن إبراهيم، نبي الله ابن نبي الله ابن نبي الله ابن خَليل الله" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the noble one, son of the noble one, son of the noble one (that is, the honoured one, son of an honoured one, whose son was honoured) is Yusuf bin Ya'qub bin Ishaq bin Ibrahim: the Prophet of Allah, son of the Prophet of Allah, grandson of the Prophet of Allah, and great-grandson of the Friend of Allah."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(1) زاد في المطبوع: ابن الكريم، مرة رابعة، وليست في النسخ الخطية.
Note / Clarification (text): In the printed edition the words "Ibn al-Karim" are added a fourth time, which are not in the manuscripts.
(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن، وقد تقدم برقم (3365) من طريق يزيد بن هارون عن محمد بن عمرو.
Grading: This hadith is sahih and its chain is hasan.
Details of the narration: This narration passed earlier under no. (3365) by way of Yazid bin Harun, who narrates it from Muhammad bin 'Amr.
