It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No child of Hawwa (peace be upon her) would survive, so she vowed that if a child of hers survived she would name him Abd al-Harith (servant of al-Harith, and al-Harith was a name of Satan). Then a child of hers survived and she named him Abd al-Harith. That was only due to the whispering (and misleading) of Satan."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "da'if" (weak). 'Umar bin Ibrahim (al-'Abdi) has weakness specifically in his narration from Qatadah; despite that, al-Tirmidhi declared it hasan and the author (al-Hakim) declared it sahih! But al-Dhahabi said about this hadith in "al-Mizan": It is a "munkar hadith". Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibn Kathir said in "al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah" (1/225-226), after quoting al-Tirmidhi's statement, "Some narrated it from 'Abd al-Samad without attributing it to the Prophet": This is an "impairing defect" in the hadith, namely that it has been narrated as "mawquf" on the Companion, and that is more likely; apparently he took it from the Isra'iliyyat. Likewise it has been narrated as mawquf on Ibn 'Abbas, and apparently this was received from Ka'b al-Ahbar and those below him. And Allah knows best. Ibn Nasir al-Din al-Dimashqi said in "Jami' al-Athar fi al-Siyar wa Mawlid al-Mukhtar" (2/276): "How could it be sound?" Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Qilabah is "'Abd al-Malik bin Muhammad al-Raqashi". Reference / Source: Ahmad (33/20117) and al-Tirmidhi (3077) narrated it via 'Abd al-Samad, with this same chain.
