قال (4): وأخبرني عمرو بن الحارث، عن أبي النضر، عن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن النبي ﷺ. قال: وأخبرني الليث بن سعد، عن أبي النضر، عن موسى بن عبد الله بن قيس، عن أبي رافع، عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال والناسُ حولَه: "لا أعرفَنَّ أحدَكم يأتيه الأمرُ من أمري قد أمرتُ به أو نهيتُ عنه، وهو متَّكئٌ على أَريكتِه، فيقول: ما وَجَدْنا في كتاب الله عَمِلْنا به، وإلَّا فلا" (1). قال الحاكم: أنا على أصلي الذي أصَّلتُه في خُطْبة هذا الكتاب: أنَّ الزيادة من الثِّقة مقبولة، وسفيان بن عُيَينة حافظ ثقة ثبت، وقد مَيَّز وحَفِظَ واعْتَمَدْنا حفظَه بعد أن وجدنا للحديث شاهدين بإسنادين صحيحين، أمّا أحدهما:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, while the people were gathered around him: "Let me never know of any of you that a command or prohibition of mine reaches him while he is reclining on his couch, and he says: 'Whatever we find in the Book of Allah, we will act upon it, and otherwise not.'"
I hold to my principle that the addition of a trustworthy narrator is accepted, and Sufyan bin Uyaynah is a trustworthy, firm hafiz. We have relied on his memorisation because this hadith has two further authentic supporting narrations (shahid).

وحديث عمرو بن الحارث هذا أخرجه الطحاوي في "معاني الآثار" 4/ 209 عن يونس بن عبد الأعلى، عن ابن وهب عن عمرو بن الحارث، عن أبي النضر، عن أبي رافع، عن النبي ﷺ. هكذا وقع عنده، وعند الدارقطني في "العلل" 7/ 9 و (1672) كما عند الحاكم سواءٌ.
Reference / Source: This hadith of Amr bin al-Harith was narrated by Imam al-Tahawi in "Ma'ani al-Athar" (4/ 209) through the chain of Yunus bin Abd al-A'la from Ibn Wahb, with the link of Abu al-Nadr from Abu Rafi'; and al-Daraqutni in "al-'Ilal" (7/ 9) also narrated it exactly as al-Hakim did.
(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لجهالة موسى بن عبد الله بن قيس.
Grading: The hadith is "sahih" on the strength of other supporting reports, but this particular chain is "da'if" because Musa bin Abd Allah bin Qays is majhul (of unknown condition).
وأخرجه الطحاوي 4/ 209 من طريق ابن وهب، والطبراني في "الكبير" (975)، و "الأوسط" (8671) من طريق عبد الله بن صالح، كلاهما عن الليث بن سعد، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tahawi narrated it through the route of Ibn Wahb, and al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (975) and "al-Awsat" (8671) through the route of Abd Allah bin Salih; both of them transmit it from Imam al-Layth bin Sa'd with this same chain.
