خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ أَكْثَرُهَا نِسَاءً .

أخبرَناه الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا إسماعيل بن إسحاق القاضي، حدثنا سليمان بن حرب، حدثنا حماد بن زيد، عن عطاء بن السائب، عن سعيد بن جُبير، قال: قال لي ابنُ عباس: يا سعيد، تزوَّجْ، فإنَّ خيرَ هذه الأمة كان أكثرَهم نساءً (2).

It is narrated from Sa'id bin Jubayr that he said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to me: O Sa'id, marry, for the best person of this Ummah had the most wives.

وأخرجه أحمد 3/ (2048) عن أسباط بن محمد، عن عطاء بن السائب، به.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (3/2048) narrated it through Asbat bin Muhammad from 'Ata' bin al-Sa'ib with this same chain.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
وأخرجه أحمد 3/ (2048) عن أسباط بن محمد، عن عطاء بن السائب، به.
