أخبرنا أبو الحسن علي بن محمد بن عُقْبة الشَّيباني بالكوفة، حدثنا محمد بن علي بن عفّان العامري، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى، حدثنا سفيان، عن المغيرة بن النعمان، عن سعيد بن جُبير، قال: قال لي عبد الله بن عباس: تزوجتَ؟ قلتُ: لا، قال: تَزَوَّجْ؛ فإنَّ خيرَ هذه الأُمّة ﷺ أكثرُها نساءً، ومهما في صُلبِك مُستودَعٌ، فإنه سيَخرُج قبلَ يوم القيامة (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد تابع عطاءُ بن السائب المغيرةَ بن النعمان في روايته:

It is narrated from Sa'id bin Jubayr that he said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked me: Have you married? I said: No. He said: "Marry! For the best person of this Ummah (peace and blessings be upon him) had the most wives, and whatever (offspring) has been deposited in your loins will surely come forth before the Day of Resurrection."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. Ata bin al-Sa'ib has corroborated al-Mughirah bin al-Nu'man in this narration.

Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Important point: "Sufyan" here is Sufyan al-Thawri.
وأخرجه البخاري (5069) من طريق طلحة بن مُصرِّف الياميّ، عن سعيد بن جبير، به. دون قوله: ومهما في صُلبك مستودع.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari narrated it (5069) via Talhah bin Musarrif al-Yami from Sa'id bin Jubayr, but al-Bukhari's narration does not contain these words: "and whatever is deposited in your loins (sulb)".
وقول ابن عباس في آخره: ومهما في صلبك مستودع، إلى آخره: أخرجه سعيد بن منصور في "سننه" (495)، وفي قسم التفسير أيضًا من "سننه" (893)، والطبري في "تفسيره" 7/ 288 و 289 من طريق أبي بشر جعفر بن إياس، عن سعيد بن جبير، به. وانظر ما بعده.
Reference / Source: The final statement of Ibn 'Abbas ("and whatever is deposited in your loins", to the end) was narrated by Sa'id bin Mansur in his "Sunan" (495, and in the tafsir section: 893) and by Imam al-Tabari in his "Tafsir" (7/288 and 289) via Abu Bishr Ja'far bin Iyas from Sa'id bin Jubayr.
